Where rewording or substantive changes are made, those areas are highlighted in yellow for easy reference. A key area of change this year relates to the start of games. The rule requiring teams to be ready fifteen minutes before the scheduled game time has been in place for some time. That requirement has been extended to require teams to come to the ice to begin play at the request of the referee should the ice be available ahead of the scheduled game time.
