Team Registration

Guidelines

In order to be eligible for the fall season Clubs/Coaches must register their team with the NYHL by October 1st latest. There is no provision for late entries. If you miss the October 1st deadline the next opportunity to get in will be the December 1st deadline to be eligible for the winter season and playoffs.

Roster Sheets

Teams are also required to file a Team Listing Form (Roster sheet) not later than November 15th.  Rosters filed late (after five pm November 15th) are subject to a $150.00 fine billed to the Club and payable before the team’s next scheduled game.

Availability

Each team is required to provide a minimum of 5 days of availability each week.

House League Schedules

House League schedules for Each Club and Age Division must be filed with the NYHL Office beofre House League Games begin

Tournaments and Exception Days

During the season, each team is allowed to enter three tournaments and have two other exception days for fundraisers, banquets or special events. Tournaments and special exception days will exempt the team from the NYHL schedule on those particular days.. Applications for Permission to attend Tournaments must be in the NYHL office 5 weeks prior to the event. If you are planning to attend a tournament or special occasion, the application must be complete and in the office by 5pm on the Friday 5-weeks in advance of the event.

Team Staff Passes

Arena passes for new Team Staff are applied for on-line. Fill in the form, upload your photo and send it in to the NYHL office.  The passes will be checked against the team lists submitted by the Clubs and given to the Club reps for distribution.  Passes must be shown each time you enter an arena. Cashiers are not allowed to let you through without it even if they know you. Returning Team Staff who were with the same Club last year and were issued a NYHL pass do not have to reapply through the website. The data on file will be updated from the information supplied by the Club Contact.
