12 Dec A Chanukah Mitzvah
The Vaughan JCC Beast and Avenue Road Ducks clubs lit the lamp this week with their wonderful donations in celebration of the festival of lights!
The minor bantam Vaughan JCC Beast and Avenue Road Ducks teams donated Chanukah gift bags for Chasdei Kaduri, the Kosher Food Bank at their annual exhibition game. This year, spectators were asked to donate $2 as a gate fee to watch the game. With the generosity of many, over $200 was collected with 100% of the proceeds going to Chasdei Kaduri. The gift bags will be given to underprivileged families in the GTA for the upcoming holiday of Chanukah.
The minor peewee Vaughan JCC Beast also gave back to the Jewish community this past week. The team packed gift bags that will be donated to Chasdei Kaduri as well. These gift bags will be given to families for the upcoming holiday season of Chanukah.
Chasdei Kaduri, was founded in 2013. It is the largest volunteer run Jewish organization that provides free weekly delivery of non-perishable food and fresh foods to thousands of needy Jewish families in the GTA.
