The NYHL playoffs are nearing their end which means, for the first time since 2018/19, the NYHL Challenge of Champions weekend is just around the corner. Join us on April 30th and May 1st at Downsview arena where the newly crowned 2021/22 Champions will face off against a stacked All Star team comprised of the best players from their tier. Here’s what to expect:

GAME DAY

• Please arrive at the arena 40 minutes before your game time.
• Players will get dressed and, both the All Star and Champion teams, will take a team picture that each player can take home.
• All Star teams will wear their team’s away (dark) jerseys and the Champion team will wear their home (white) jerseys, unless otherwise notified.
• Games are 30 minutes running time. (10/10/10 or 15/15)
• Champions are awarded their trophies during a small ceremony after the game. All Star players will be given their commemorative All Star t-shirts.
• All participating players are given a hot dog voucher after the game.
• Spectators can feast on delicious BBQ provided by Grandpa Ken’s Back Bacon ‘n’ Burgers and enjoy a fun atmosphere filled with music, ceremonies and the best of North York hockey!

In 2018-2019, the Champion team’s won the weekend with a record of 23-9-4. How will they fare this year?
