The North Toronto U16 team were crowned the King Playoff Challenge Cup champions over the weekend. North Toronto won their division and advanced to the championship game against the Caledon Hawks who had beaten them in the Pool stage. The championship game was everything you could ask for and thanks to a quick goal in the third period by North Toronto to tie the game at 1-1, both teams were headed to overtime. With no winner decided in the extra frame, the shootout would have to decide the champion. Just like regular play, the teams went shot for shot and save for save for 14 rounds until North Toronto scored the winning goal in the 15th round!
