U11 York Mills Blue Share Their Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup Story on Breakfast Television

U11 York Mills Blue joined Sid Seixeiro on Breakfast Television, on Friday morning, to share their story about giving back to the community in partnership with the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup.

The Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup is a challenge for eligible U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15 minor hockey teams to take the values they learn on the ice – determination, leadership, teamwork – and use them to support their communities, off the ice.

Teams receive a point for each good deed and compete with other teams across the country for an incredible first prize of $100,000 towards the charity of their choice.

“Part of hockey, and part of being a team, is going outside of the rink and giving back to the community,” said coach Jonathan Kreiger who was joined by players Jake Robinson and Teddy Smith.

York Mills Blue supported a single mother of four over the holidays by making sure everything on their holiday wish list came true.

“We are so lucky to have what we have and some people are not that lucky, so it’s nice to give back to the community and see people with a Merry Christmas,” said Teddy Smith.

The team is not done just yet and has future good deeds planned including, shoveling driveways for the elderly and hosting a food drive and car wash to continue filling their Good Deeds Cup.

Way to go York Mills! Keep filling up the cup!
