U11 East York Finishes 3rd for Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup

Congratulations to the U11 East York Bulldogs who achieved 3rd place in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup!

The Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup is a challenge for eligible U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15 minor hockey teams to take the values they learn on the ice – determination, leadership, teamwork – and use them to support their communities, off the ice.

Teams receive a point for each good deed and compete with other teams across the country for an incredible first prize of $100,000 towards the charity of their choice.

As 3rd place finishers, the U11 Bulldogs were awarded $10,000 to be put towards their charity of choice, HEROS. Hockey Education Reaching Out Society (HEROS) is a volunteer driven charity that teaches life skills and empowers marginalized youth through hockey. They provide free programs to youth of all backgrounds from grade four through post-secondary.

U11 East York were showcased earlier this year on Breakfast Television with Rick Campanelli to share how they were “Filling the Cup”.

We are incredibly proud to have team’s like the U11 East York Bulldogs in our league who prove that being apart of the hockey community goes beyond the game.

Way to go East York! Congratulations on “filling up the cup”!
