The top four U9 Elite teams took on four top teams from across Ontario in the NYHL’s U9 Elite Jamboree this past Friday at the York NFP Athletic Center.

This season, the NYHL introduced Elite Divisions for U8 and U9 to help bring a competitive balance to the tiering structure of these age groups and to properly facilitate the growth and development of players of varying skill levels.

Humber Valley, North Toronto, Ted Reeve and Vaughan Red from the NYHL played against teams from Burlington, Guelph, Oakville and Waterloo.

The teams played three games each and enjoyed a pizza lunch to keep them fueled for the games ahead.

The results were close, the battles were hard, and above all, the play was elite!
