09 Feb Canadian Blind Hockey Showcase Recap
The NYHL’s Blind Hockey Showcase was a great success over the weekend. In collaboration with Canadian Blind Hockey, vision-impaired athletes competed in a scrimmage at Downsview Arena with players from U18 Faustina and North Toronto participating in the action. It was a great event to showcase the differences and similarities between the two games and showcasing the tenacity and resilience of vision-impaired athletes to continue playing the game we all love. The event ended with a team picture, lots of a smiles and a donation to Canadian Blind Hockey on behalf of the North York Hockey League.
Looking for more Blind Hockey action? Team Canada will be taking on Team USA at the 2026 International Blind Hockey Series which will be taking place at the Mattamy Athletic Center on Friday, March 20th at 6:30 PM.
